Thomas E Smith

Thomas E. Smith of Warrior, Al passed away on January 25, 2020 at the age of 68. He was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. Tommy retired from Georgia Power Co. and Alabama Power Co. after 37 years of service. He is survived by his mother, Eva Smith; wife, Michelle Rutherford Smith; son, Tom Smith (Angela); brother, Randy Smith (Crystal); three step-children, Sherri Cusco' (Jose). Donald Newlin (Carie) and Randy Newlin; two grandchildren, Noelle and Dylan; six step-grandchildren, Katie, Ben, Jose, Camille, Jake, and Even; great-grandchild, August; two nieces, Lyndsey and Lauren; and a host of cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by is father, Alfred Smith. Tommy loved spending time with his family and friends and he will be missed by all who knew him. He especially enjoyed fishing and hunting with his family. In lieu of flowers, his family request donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, P.O.Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-9929. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 28, 2020 from 12pm - 2pm with funeral service to follow at 2pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens in Trussville, Al.
