Sidney Sterling

Sidney E. Sterling, age 97, of Birmingham, passed away March 17, 2010. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Center Point. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years Cassie Sterling. Services will be on Saturday March 20, at 10am in the Chapel with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Rev. David Huffstuttler officiating. Visitation will be from 5pm until 7pm Friday. Pallbearers will be from the Assisted Living Center Outreach Ministry of First Baptist Church of Chalkville. He is survived by his son Ken (Linda) Sterling, daughter Brenda (Sid) Lasseter, grandchildren Tim (Laura), Andrew (Michelle) and Matt (Tracey) Sterling, Amy (Ben) Peake, and Lori (Robert) Hamilton, great grandchildren Kelsey Peake, Harper Sterling, and Sophia Sterling. The family wishes to thank the staff at his Assisted Living Center and the staff on the 5th Floor East at St Vincent's East for their care for Mr. Sterling.
