Sara Nell Patrick Isbell, age 72, of Leeds died Saturday, July 24, 2010. Mrs. Isbell is survived by her husband of 47 years, Roger Dale Isbell, and her daughter Melodi Dale Isbell. She is also survived by her brother Bobby R. Patrick and his wife Carol Sue Patrick; brother-in-law Roy Lee Isbell and his wife Mattie Isbell; sister-in-law Jan Isbell and many loving nieces and nephews. Sara was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Floy Patrick of Pleasant Grove; brothers Billy Patrick and Jack Patrick; brother-in-law James C. Isbell and his wife Gloyce Johnson Isbell; sister-in-law Florene Isbell Hammond and her husband Horace Hammond; sister-in-law Corene Isbell Newton and her husband Warren Newton. Sara was born and raised in Pleasant Grove where she attended Pleasant Grove School and graduated from Fairfield High School. She was baptized at First Baptist Church of Pleasant Grove where she was an active member for many years. Sara worked for many years at Lloyd Noland Hospital Muscoda Dental Office. She was an active choir member at First Baptist Church of Roebuck Plaza for the last 25 years. She enjoyed her friends in the Pleasant Grove Red Hat Society and the Friends Forever group. The family would like to thank Dr. William Hayes, Dr. Jeremy Smith, and Dr. David "Tall Man" Schultz, as well as the nurses and staff of St. Vincent's Hospital for their tender care for Sara. In addition, they are grateful for the loving kindness shown by the members of FBC Roebuck Plaza and many other dear friends who have ministered to their family during Sara's prolonged illness.

Funeral and visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 27th at Huffman Baptist Church, 700 Huffman Road. Visitation will be at 5:00 p.m. and the funeral service at 7:00 p.m. A private family graveside service will follow on Wednesday at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for memorial donations to FBC Roebuck Plaza, Guatemala Missions (567 Gadsden Highway, 35235). Sara Nell Isbell was a lady filled with personality who never met a stranger and was a friend to everyone. She was totally committed to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and then to her husband Roger and daughter Melodi. Isaiah 41:10 "Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you. Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."
