NAIL, ROYCE "DWAYNE"
Royce "Dwayne" Nail, age 52, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2013 into glory and into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Dwayne was born 10/28/60 to Mary and Royce Nail of Kimberly. A graduate of Mortimer Jordan High School in 1979, Dwayne worked in the furniture and mattress businesses for almost 30 years and was an awesome salesman. He was a faithful Alabama fan and spent a lot of his spare time fishing, traveling and most recently "picking" for antiques. Dwayne Nail was a member of North Park Baptist Church in Trussville and previously served as a deacon at Eastside Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Alice Nail. He is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Mary Elizabeth "Beth" Nail and his daughter, Brooke Elizabeth Nail of Trussville. Also, he is survived by his father, Royce Nail; brother, Darryl Nail (Kelly) of Oneonta; Mother-in-law, Mary Jo McMichael of Trussville; brother-in law, Bill McMichael (Sandi) of Pelham; sister-in-law, Connie McMichael Martin (Brian) of Leeds; Niece, Fallon Crowe of Oneonta and great-niece Jaylee Millwood of Oneonta; Niece, Mary Joan Martin and nephew, Luke Martin of Leeds.
Dwayne will be most remembered by his legacy of humor and laughter; he always had a joke. He was a very strong man who endured several health issues from childhood; even so, he always had a positive attitude no matter what he was going through. He kept that positive attitude and strong spirit until the end of his life. His devotion to his wife, daughter and family was also a great witness to many. He was an awesome "Uncle Chuck" and will be greatly missed.
A BIG THANK YOU to Dwayne's brother Darryl, who 30 years ago gave him one of his kidneys. We all are grateful to God and to Darryl for that gift of life!
