Ronald Cates Sr

Ronald Wilson Cates Sr., age 77, of Birmingham, passed away January 25, 2014. Mr. Cates was a member of the American Legion, was an avid golfer making numerous "Holes In One", loved Alabama football, basketball, Braves baseball and many other sports. He is preceded in death by his son Ron Cates Jr., parents David Wilson Cates and Hazel Weaver Cates. Visitation will be from 6pm until 8pm on Monday, January 27, 2014. He is survived by his wife Diane Tolleson Cates, son Scott Cates, daughter Terry Cates Reid (Randy), grandchildren Tyler Cates, Shelby Reid, Bailey Reid, Austin Cates, Dalton Cates, and cousin Jerry Steelman.
