Ray Coker passed away on April 9, 2017 at the age of 86. He was a graduate of Arab High School and served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was the proud business owner of Coker Appliance Service for over 40 years. Ray attended Center Point Primitive Baptist. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mollie Coker; siblings, Jewel Coker Taylor, Osroe Coker, Clarence Coker, Eulette Coker and Doyal Coker. He is survived by his loving wife, of 62 years, Fay Coker; his son, Billy Coker (Marlene); his daughter, Connie Coker Strait (Murray); his twin Brother, Roy Coker (Dean); his beloved grandchildren, Will Strait, Amanda Coker Stott, Andrew Coker and Ellie Strait; a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 13th at Mt. Oak UMC Cemetery in Arab, Alabama at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Center Point Primitive Baptist or Bill Nichols VA Home in Alexander City.
