Nelson Hood

Nelson E. Hood, age 75, of Birmingham, passed away April 28, 2011. He was retired from the US Air Force and the US Post Office. He loved his "eat and rides" with the "Over the Hill Gang" motorcycle club. He was a member of the GWRRA and the AFSA #467. He was preceded in death by his parents O.B. and Thelma Lucille Hood. Services will be on Tuesday May 3 at 12pm in the Chapel. Burial will be in Sand Rock United Methodist Church Cemetery in Cherokee County at 2:30pm. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. He is survived by his wife Norma Hood, children Vicki Hood, Mike (Shirl) Hood, grandson Paul Hood, brother Kenneth (Annis) Hood, many cousins, nephews, and nieces.
