Mildred Bird

BIRD, MILDRED LANISE BILLINGSLEY, of Trussville, 77, went to be with the Lord on June, 20, 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents Marion David and Mary Elizabeth Jinks Billingsley, her husband, John Robert Bird Jr., brother Raymond Billingsley, and sister Catherine Billingsley. Mildred leaves behind a loving family of two children and their families, daughter Patricia Craighead and her husband Steve of Atlanta, GA, and son, Robert Earl Bird and wife Treva of Pinson, AL; a brother Homer Billingsley and his wife Marie of Andalusia, AL, a sister Helen Blanchard and husband Ira of Childersburg, AL, and sister Ruth Caudle and her husband Harold of Lincoln, AL. Mildred and John were blessed with seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The Birds spent their lives dedicated to family and to the First Baptist Church of Center Point, AL. She lived the last year of her life at Hearthstone Assisted Living Facility where she received loving care and developed many friendships. The immediate family will join with friends and other family members to celebrate Mildred's life on June 22, 2010 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Center Point, AL with the funeral following. The graveside service will follow the funeral at Jefferson Memorial Gardens on Highway 11 in Trussville, AL. The funeral will be officiated by Reverend Bobby Earles.
