Michael Falkinburg

Michael Joseph Falkinburg, age 75, of Kimberly, AL, passed away May 24, 2016. He married Betty Lou Burton on July 1957 in Trenton, GA. Was a veteran of Vietnam War and Air Force retiree (22 years of service). He coached Little League football in Centerpoint, AL, was an avid supporter of his grandchildren's sporting and extracurricular activities, and enjoyed relaxing and socializing with friends at Smith Lake. Michael was preceded in death by his wife Betty Falkinburg, father Michael Lewis Falkinburg and mother Anna Wells, and brother Clifford Smith. He is survived by daughter Cindy (Walter) Kirkland, son Mike (Diana) Falkinburg, sisters, Laraine (Jim) Kelly, Judy Falkinburg, grandchildren, Brett (Leanne) Kirkland, Brittany Kirkland, Stacy Falkinburg, Scott Falkinburg, nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be on Friday, May 27 at 1pm with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be from 5pm until 7pm Thursday.
