Mary Easley

Mary Lena Brents Easley, "Granny" passed away on April 12, 2010. She was born on July 27, 1920. Mary was retired from the Alabama State Employment Service. She was a 48 year member of The Church of Christ at Roebuck Parkway. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Easley, Jr., her parents, James W. and Sally Brents and 8 brothers and sisters. She is survived by one sister, Myra Flanakin (Tex); her son, John T. Easley; her daughter, Mary Lou Shoemaker (George); grandchildren, Kitty Lewis (Barry), Kelly Besson (Stephen), Kimberly Shoemaker, Karen Sugita (Yoshio), George Shoemaker Jr., (Jessica) and Laurie Beth Hilbert (PJ); 13 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, April 15 beginning at 11:00 am with Chapel services beginning at 12:00 pm with Dr. Jerry Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Licking Valley Church of Christ Building Fund, PO Box 7222, Cynthiana KY 41031. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
