Marie Landmon

Marie Landmon, 90, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, June 9, 2022. She was greeted in heaven by our Lord Jesus and her son Luther Andrew Gunter. Marie was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Marie was born on December 31, 1931, in Blount County, to David and Hester Hayes. She is preceded in death by her parents, son Luther Andrew Gunter, and brother Thomas Eldridge Hayes. She is survived by her sister, Shirley Hays, sons, Thomas Earl Gunter, Danny Elliot Gunter (Vicki), and daughter, Susan Gunter Pannell (Dave). She was a wonderfully devoted grandmother to Desi, Stacy, Alicia, Stephanie, Joshua, and Jessica and a great- grandmother to several great grandchildren. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Marie retired from Food World after over 20 years of devoted service. After retirement Marie enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Marie was kind, strong, and fiercely independent. She loved her family with all her heart and was generous to a fault. We will miss her every day.
Special thanks to all those at Cook Springs Retirement Village who took care of our loving mom and grandmother for many years.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at 11am with a Funeral Service following at noon. Both will be held at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens.
