Lester Tidwell

Lester Tidwell, age 94, of Birmingham, passed away June 6, 2016. He was a member of Hillsdale Baptist Church for 46 years and taught Sunday School for 33 years. He was employed with Fruehauf Trailer Co. as a parts manager. He graduated from Locust Fork High School in 1939. He is preceded in death by his wife Kathleen Bryan Tidwell, parents Oscar Allgood Tidwell and mother Alice Ridgeway, stepmother Etta Painter Tidwell, sisters Lillian Henderson, Earnestine Glasscock, brothers J.D. and Reginald Tidwell. Chapel services will be on Wednesday, June 8 at 2pm with visitation from 5pm until 7pm Tuesday. Dr. Ron Pate will officiate. He is survived by his sister Lois Tidwell Baty and step-sister Betty Bullard, many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
