Lela Sims

Lela Mae Sims, 88, of Gardendale, passed away on February 28, 2017. She retired from Bell South and was a great mother, grandmother, and friend to so many. She has gone to be with Jesus and be reunited with her husband. She is preceded in death by her husband, Grover Sims and son, Robert Sims. She is survived by son, Bill Sims, grandchildren, Scott, April, Chris, Blake, Ashley, and great-grandchildren, Ryan, Aiden, Deaglan, Reagan, Mary Brooke, and Olivia Tayler. A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 pm from the funeral home chapel. Interment will immediately follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.
