Lavern Mcclellan

Mrs. Lavern McClellan, 94, of Louisville, KY passed away on June 17, 2016. She was born on January 20, 1922 to the late Earlie and Fannie Hornsby. She worked as an Insurance Claim Adjuster, was a devoted member of Huffman Baptist Church, and an avid gardener. She is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Chester McClellan, parents, 4 brothers, and 2 sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Gloria (Tommy) Smith, grandsons, Jason Smith and Loren Smith, and 4 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2016 from 11:00am to 12:00pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home with the funeral service beginning at 12:00pm. The interment will immediately follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens with Pastors Larry Smith and Roy Hornsby officiating. Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
