Joseph Jones

J.W. Jones (Jay), age 67, passed away October 12, 2012. He was a loving husband, father, "Pop, and brother. He attended First Baptist Church of Trussville, the founder and owner of Huffman Electric, and an awesome ball player. He loved fast cars, baseball and spending time with his family. He was inducted into the Central Alabama Amateur Softball Hall of Fame in 2006. He was a well liked man, very respected and overall great man. He is preceded in death by his parents, Emmitt and Mary Jo Jones, and sisters Janie Robinson and Pam Jones. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Marilyn Jones, his daughter Christina Jones, his son Jay (Christy) Jones, grandchildren Colbie, Cyle, and Cameron Moore, Preston, Ellie Kate, and Selah Jones; brothers Eddie (Jolette) Jones, and John (Gloria) Jones, Father and mother in law Carl and Vera Anker as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation: Monday October 15, 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00 at First Baptist Trussville. Funeral service: Tuesday October 16, 2012 at 11:00, First Baptist Trussville. The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the J.W. Jones Memorial through First Commercial Bank to be disbursed to J.W.'s favorite charities.
