John Howell

John Leonard Howell was born on August 31, 1931 and passed away June 3, 2017. John grew up in Irondale, Alabama and graduated Woodlawn High School. John married his high school sweetheart, Sue Runyans, and enjoyed life with Sue until her passing in 1996. John is survived by his current wife of nine years, Johnnie Howell. John also leaves behind a daughter, Susan Hare (Jimmy), a son Rick Howell (Wendy), grandchildren Eric Hare (Nichole), Katie Rutledge (Henry), Jessica Howell, Emily Howell, great grandchild Lilly Hare, step-daugther Allison Wambels, step-grandson Jackson Wambels, and a beloved brother Bob Howell (Arlene) and sister Janice Smith (Frank). John was a successful business owner and enjoyed baseball and Alabama football. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 from 11:00am to 12:00pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. The graveside will follow at 12:00pm at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East in Trussville.
