John Knox

John M. Knox, Sr. 91 of Birmingham passed away on December 30, 2010. Mr. Knox was born December 15, 1919 in Pulaski, TN and grew up in the Docena Area graduating from Ensley High School. He worked most of his life in heavy machinery at Leary & Owens, Joe Money and Simmons Machinery from which he retired. He then worked in maintenance for many years at Roebuck Park Baptist, where he was a member. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman & Annie P.; brothers, Herman, Jr & Victor N.; granddaughter, Christina and daughter-in-law, Vickie. Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Evelyn; 5 children, John Mack Jr. (Sharon), Joey (Cindy), Ken, Kathy Clark (David) and Andy (Catrina); 15 grandchildren, Stephanie, John, Brandi, Whitney, Heather, Amy, Erin, Michael, Kari, Jordan, Benjamin, Caleb, Nathan, Sophia and Gabriel & 5 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Monday, January 3 beginning at 1:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home with Chapel services at 2:00 PM with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.
