Jimmie Hill

HILL, JIMMIE MAURICE Age 79, of Vestavia, Alabama passed away October 23, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Fred Hill, sister June Hill, brothers William Hill, Charles Hill and Freddy Hill and granddaughter Hannah McConnell. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Hill, daughters Melissa (Sam) Bishop, Carol (Keith) McConnell and son Scott (Sherri) Hill. Grandchildren Miranda (Nick) Hanna, Mallory (Derek) Martin, Harrison Hill, Savannah Hill, Luke McConnell, Olivia Hill, Abby McConnell, Hayden Hill and Bowman Hill. Sisters Mona Wallace, Jessie Hanks and Judy Campbell. Mr. Hill was a founding member of the Hokes Bluff Quarterback Club, a Neighborhood Commissioner for the Goodyear Boy Scouts, fundraising organizer for Camp Comer Scouts, and was instrumental in building a Boy Scout cabin in Hokes Bluff. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 470 F. & A. M. for 57 years, a member of Liberty Park Baptist Church, and he had 30 years service at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. After he retired he worked at Austin Transportation and Fleetmaster Transportation companies. Services will be at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, Trussville, Alabama Saturday, October 27, 2012 with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. followed by the service at 12:00 p.m. Flowers are welcome or donations may be made to Children's Hospital Foundation, 1600 7th Ave. South, Birmingham, AL. 35233.War Eagle!
