Jerry Carter

Jerry Mack Carter, 67 of Pinson passed away on April 6, 2010. He worked in the trucking industry in the Birmingham area for over 40 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Myrtle Carter and his sister, Hazel and brother in law, Bobby Hood. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Edwards Carter; two daughters, Jennifer Leigh Carter Burns (Daren) and Amy Lynn Carter Godwin (Troy); one son, Ron McCracken (Gayla); eight grandchildren, Mary Catherine , Carter, and Caroline Burns, Parker , Connor, and Taylor Godwin, Logan and Brodie McCracken; two nieces, Peggy Myrick (Alan) and Tina Turbyfil; special cousins, Dwight Peoples and Dewaine Peoples. The family would like to thank Dr. Kevin Windsor and staff for their caring support. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer or Lymphoma Societies. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 8 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home with Chapel services beginning at 7:00 PM. There will be a private family graveside service on Saturday in Center Cemetery in Center, Kentucky.
