Jerome Pritchett

Jerome Preston Pritchett, age 80 of Springville passed away on February 24, 2020. He was born in Jefferson County, Alabama and grew up in the Birmingham area. He served in the United States Air Force where he was stationed in South Korea during the Korean War. He served as a Birmingham Firefighter before ultimately living out his career with IBM. After retirement, he and his wife, Carolyn, spent many years traveling and camping throughout the country, visiting children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Carolyn and his granddaughter, Violet Allison. He is survived by his daughter Karen Allison and husband, William and their daughter, Bonny Allison; his son, Duane Pritchett and his wife, Nancy and their eight children, Jessica, Rachel, Erin, Emily, Ryan, Jamie, Sarah, and Michael Pritchett; his son Roger Pritchett and his wife, Meredith and their four children, Tully, Reston, Fulton, and Gunnar Pritchett. He is also survived by his mother, Johnnie Mae Holdcroft; three brothers, Wayne and David Pritchett and Sammy Holdcroft. A graveside service for Mr. Pritchett will be held at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 3:00pm.
