James Yarbrough

James Maurice Yarbrough, age 83, of Birmingham, passed away October 7, 2012. Mr. Yarbrough was Assistant Vice President with 1st National Bank of Birmingham, Student Loan Officer with Amsouth, Financial Aid Officer with Jefferson State, and helped create the Student Loan program with the State of Alabama. He was preceded in death by his daughter Denise Yarbrough, and parents Elmer Yarbrough and Lelles Breland. Services will be held on Friday, Oct 12, at 2pm at Faith Lutheran Church with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be from 6pm until 8pm Thursday at the Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Dorothy Yarbrough, daughter Michelle Yarbrough, sons Rick Yarbrough (Mary), Randell Yarbrough (Kerri), James Michael Yarbrough (Alinda), grandchildren Jay, Joshua, Courtney, Raegan, Stephen, Danielle, Jacob, Dakota and great grandson Ashton James "AJ", brother Leslie Lamar Yarbrough.
