James Parker

PARKER, RICKEY, age 62 passed away January 29, 2013. He was a previous resident of Tarrant, AL and later moved to Leeds, AL. Rickey worked at the Tarrant Recreational Center for over 25 years. He is known for his love of sport and particularly for the past nine years; he has enjoyed playing ball for the Moody Miracle League. He enjoyed being a part of Leeds First UMC, and especially the Coroner Stone Sunday school class. The gentlemen of the Leeds First UMC, Coroner Stone Sunday school class will be Honorary Pallbearers. Rickey was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Parker; a brother, Larry Parker; and one nephew, Chris Parker. Left behind to cherish his precious memory is his mother, Elinor Parker; brother, Charlie Parker; sister, Joyce Boggan (Chuck); nieces, Charley Murphree (Chris) and Tracy Whorton (Gary); nephew, Larry J. Parker (Kim); sister-in-law, Olene Parker; 6 great nephews, and one great niece. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East in Trussville; Brother Dan Mattox will be officiating. AL. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Leeds First UMC's Family Life Center.
