James White

James B. White went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 18, 2016. Born to Wyatt and Lucille White on December 2, 1929 in Goshen, Al. He was raised and attended school in Spring Garden, Al. Dad went to Jacksonville State where he earned his BS in education and then went to Auburn for his Masters. He remained an avid Auburn fan. Dad taught in Centre, Ohatchee and Piedmont Highschools before entering into insurance. Dad spent 30 years with Liberty National where he retired as a Vice President. He then went back to teaching at Jefferson State for 18 years. He has been a faithful member of Roebuck Park Baptist/Northpark Baptist Church since 1955. Dad was preceded into heaven by his parents, his daughter, Patti Sears. He is survived by his son, Ricky (Andrea) White, son-in-law, David Sears, and grandsons, Blake (Taylor) White and Bryan Sears. Visitation will be held at Northpark Baptist Church, 5700 Deerfoot Pkwy, Trussville, Al 35173, on May 25, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Services will follow at 12:30 p.m. Burial will be at New Goshen Methodist Church Cemetery, in Piedmont. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Northpark Baptist Church.
