Irene Rowlen

Irene Spinks Rowlen, age 90, passed away on May 10, 2017. She was a longtime member of Huffman Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lamar Rowlen, and multiple siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Rita Rowlen Gaines (Dave); her son, Jeffrey L. Rowlen (Holly); her grandchildren, Dr. David Isaac Gaines (Melissa), Scott Rowlen Gaines (Melanie), Joanna Elizabeth Rowlen, Daniel Stephen Rowlen; her great-grandchildren, Alanna Sherrill Gaines, Aaron Rowlen Gaines, William Atchley Gaines; her brother, Woodrow Spinks; her sister, Mary Weaver; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 13 at 2pm at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville, burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
