Heber Steck

Heber C. Steck (Herb), age 59 of Pinson, AL passed away January 24, 2014, after a battle with cancer with his family by his side. Herb was a devoted husband, father, and pop pop who is very much loved and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Iva Steck. He is survived by his loving family, his wife of 23 years, Kathy Steck (Daws); daughters Jennifer Gonzales(Darlene Tysinger) and Crystal Johnson(Charles Johnson); grandchildren Alex, Olivia, Cooper and Jade; Sister Eileen Morris and brothers Andy Steck and Fred Steck; and a host of family and friends. Herb proudly served his country in the US Air Force for 20 plus years before retiring in 1992. At the time of his passing, Herb was a member of Center Point Church of the Nazarene. The family will receive visitors on Monday January 27 5pm to 7pm at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville. Funeral service will be on Tuesday January 27, 10 am at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville with a full military burial taking place at Alabama National Cemetery immediately following the service. Rev. Dabydeen will officiate the service. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Big Oak Ranch or National Military Family Association.
