Guy Mardis, Jr

Guy B. Mardis, Jr., age 74, of Trussville, AL passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2017. Guy graduated from Springville High School where he enjoyed playing football and serving as captain of the football team. He was a former member of Hilldale Baptist church. Guy retired from Plumber & Steam Fitters Local 91 after several years of service. Guy was preceded in death by his parents, Guy B. and Jeanetta H. Mardis; two brothers, Harold D. and Larry Keith Mardis. Guy is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 53 years, Robbie; he also leaves behind two sons, Craig Mardis and Scott Mardis (Erin); two sisters, Janet Carol Mardis Vanstone (Gary) and Wanda Faye Mardis; brother, Bruce Hendrix Mardis (Joanie); two grandsons, Kyle Robert Mardis and Grayson Lee Mardis; a loving aunt, Alma Roy. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 20, 2017. Burial will immediately follow at Jefferson Memorial's adjoining garden. Pastor Michael Ray Crowe is officiating.
