Gloria Dean Semour Waldrop, age 92, of Trussville, AL passed away on June 28, 2022. Gloria was born to Charles and Melba Seymour on September 16, 1929. Gloria was a saintly woman, who provided many meals, teas, and showers for so many others. Her love and devotion to her family was her life. Always ready to help in any way she could and glad she could do it. She was a beautiful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother!! She served as chairperson of Hueytown Garden Club for many years, an active member in Women’s Home Missions, and always a faithful worker in her church and work. She was an Interior Design Decorator for almost 20 years. Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Waldrop, her granddaughter, Deana Hemphill and son-in-law, Neal Hemphill; her parents, and sister, Una Rae Chafin, and brother-in-law, Marion Chafin. She is survived by her daughter, Glynda Bailey (Jerry); granddaughter, Ashley Trammell (Adam); great grandchildren, Taylor Johnson (Hunter), Bailey Sisk (Trevor), Brady Trammell, Jordyn Trammell, Camdyn Trammell; great-great grandchildren, Paislea Johnson, and Tanner Johnson; her sister, Mona Ayers (Jimmy). She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville from 9:00 a.m. until time of the service at 10:00 a.m. A committal service will immediately follow the chapel service at Jefferson Memorial’s adjoining gardens. Pastor Buddy Champion of First Baptist Church of Trussville will preside over the service. The family would like to express a special thank you to Bridget Gregory-Bradley, Jessica Brown, and Tavia Webb for their love and great care of Gloria for the last six weeks she was at home. “They helped me get through all the difficult times.” Pallbearers will be Hunter Johnson, Trevor Sisk, Neal Ayers, Dennis Vaughn, Chuck Chafin and David Easley.
