Gladys Cancio

Gladys Pope Lawrence Cancio, 84 of Hoover passed away on March 13, 2011. Gladys was born February 9, 1927 to Charles A. and Ada Pope Sr. Gladys became the patriarch of her family after her parent's passing, and was a kind, sincere devoted sister whose smiling face brought joy to those she touched. She was well loved and will be terribly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and two sisters. Survivors include one sister, Frances Mabrey and a multitude of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 15 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Chapel services will be held on Wednesday, March 16 at 2:00 PM with Bill Noe officiating and burial to follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
