Charles Holcomb

Mr. Charles Donald Holcomb, 79, of McCalla passed away on May 17, 2017. Don was a long time business owner in the electric motor industry, an avid pilot, a family expert on Holcomb genealogy, former member of Carson Road Baptist Church, and a current member of Hepzibah Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife and mother of their children, Carolyn Sue Holcomb, second wife, Martha Holcomb, and parents, Clyde and Lorene Holcomb. He is survived by his sons, Barry Craig Holcomb (Kathi), David Alan Holcomb (Darlene), and Larry Greg Holcomb (Cindy), grandchildren, Natalie Medlock (Matt), Nick Holcomb, Kaleigh Holcomb, Nathan Holcomb, and Abby Holcomb, 4 great-grandchildren, sister, Jean Jones (John), brothers, Wayne Holcomb (Cynthia) and Robert Holcomb, sisters-in-law, Glenda Johnson and Susan Holcomb, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 12:00pm from the funeral home chapel with a one hour visitation prior to the service. Interment will immediately follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East with Reverend Keith Wrenn officiating.
