Carolyn Sides

Carolyn Jean Trammell Sides, 80, of Springville, AL died peacefully on January 17th, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt. She was born in Birmingham and lived in Forestdale and later Springville. She worked at Southern Building Code Congress International until her retirement. She is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, William Harold "Bill" Sides, her mother, Trannie Trammell, father, Ellard Trammell and siblings Bobbie Tubbs, Will Trammell, Mary Tittle, Jimmy Trammell, Melba Parrish and Charles Trammell. She is survived by her sons, Mark Sides (Yvonne) and William J. Sides (Renea) and a daughter, Leigh Anne Sides-Medlock (Jan). She also leaves behind five sisters, Sydney Presley, Sandra Bates, Sharon Kelly, Wanda Fritts and Jennifer Price and a brother, Eddie Trammell. In addition, she is survived and remembered by special grandnieces Meghan Price and Kaitlyn Martin and grandnephew, Brody Price as well as many other nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was an active member of Odenville Baptist Church. Services will be held at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, 1591 Gadsden Highway in Trussville. Visitation will be Sunday, January 19th from 5PM until 7PM and chapel services will be Monday, January 20th at 10AM followed by a graveside service. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
