FILES, CARLOS "CARL" E.,

age 96, of the Huffman area passed away on August 17, 2013. He is a member of Huffman Baptist Church and a former member of Ruhama Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He spent most of his working career as a salesman and manager with the BF Goodrich Company in Talladega, Tuscaloosa, Birmingham and retired as a territory manager for the state of Alabama. He loved and was loved by his family. He maintained a perfect lawn and loved the game of golf. He is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth H. Files. He is survived by his daughter, Margaret Ann Griffin (Ken); grandchildren, Steve Griffin (Laura); Julie Adams (Matthew); and 5 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 19, 2013 from 5PM until 7PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at 2PM in the funeral home Chapel with Reverend Ken Griffin officiating followed by the burial at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.
