Bobbie Pilkington

Bobbie Lou Hemphill Reid "Nanny" Pilkington, age 82 of Birmingham, passed away at her home on Sunday, February 2, 2014, with her loving daughter by her side.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Ellie and Tom Hemphill; husbands Arlyn C. Reid and Thomas C. Pilkington; son Myles David Reid; brother Tommy Hemphill; sisters Joyce Hallmark, Pauline Maynard and Ellette Horton.

Bobbie leaves behind daughter Jenny Johnson; daughter-in-law Gwen Reid; grandchildren Devon Hale, Myles Reid Jr. and Cody Johnson; great grandchildren Molly and Max Hale and many loved family members and dear friends. Bobbie was a long-time resident of Shelby County and a member of North Shelby Baptist Church. The family would like to thank Hospice Services of Alabama - extending a special thank you to neighbors Warren and Carol Morgan for their loving kindness and support.

Her friends and family will celebrate her life on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Jefferson Memorial Chapel in Trussville, AL. Family will receive friends at 1PM and Chapel Service at 2PM with Reverend Allen Murphy officiating. Jefferson Memorial Gardens of Trussville is directing.
