Annie "Nan" Hunter, age 95, of Trussville, AL passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2010. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Nan survived two world wars and the "Blitz." She gave birth to three children before coming to this country with her husband George and their daughter and sons in 1949. Proud of her Scottish heritage, Nan never lost her Scottish brogue nor her skill at baking Scottish pastries and steak pies. Her life was filled with helping family and she was especially proud of her roles as "grandma" and "Great-Grandma." She made friends wherever she went and her smile will be remembered by all who knew her. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, George Hunter. Nan is survived by her daughter, Agnes Dauphinee(Ronald); sons, George and John Hunter; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Sunday , June 20,2010 at 2:00PM with visitation from 12:30pm until 2:00pm at Jefferson Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.
