Willma Bassham

Wilma Blair Bassham, of Birmingham, age 92 - born August 15, 1919 - passed away May 16, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Bassham; parents, five sisters, and one brother. She is survived by her daughters, Joy Dorriety (Mike), Connie Stone and Kathy Jackson (Mike); son, Jimmy Bassham (Sherri); nine grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and brother, David Blair; many much loved nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bassham loved all but mostly she loved the Lord and served him faithfully. She was a member of East Lake United Methodist Church for almost 60 years. The family would like to thank New Beacon Hospice, especially Deb Stone, Willie Crenshaw and Judy Scott for their wonderful care. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to East Lake UMC. Funeral services will be Friday, May 18 at 2:00PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Rev Jimmy Bassham and Rev Sally Allocca will be officiating. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
