Murray, Willie Tingle, born July 19, 1934 and died in Gardendale, Alabama on February 23, 2010 following a lengthy illness. She was predeceased by her husband Manuel L. Murray and her son Jeffery Lee Murray, her parents Edward and Edna Tingle, her sisters Clara T. Miller, Bertha T. Harding, Lillian T. Hamrick, and Inez T. Phillips all of Dora, AL. and nephew Neal Miller of Birmingham Alabama. She is survived by her grandsons Blake and Brent Murray, granddaughter Amy Kiefer, and their mother Penny Johnson. She is also survived by her three sisters, Oleta T. Harding, Agnes T. Hughes, Eloise T. Caddell and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Mrs. Murray worked for many years as a secretary at Dependable Parts, Birmingham Police Department, Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Center Point and Bell South from which she retired in 2000. She was loved by all who knew her as one who wanted to be of help to everyone she met. Her Christian faith was shared with many through her gifts of pound cakes, chocolate chip cookies, or homemade fudge candy. The visitation will be at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home at 1591 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL from 12:30pm on Feb 26, 2010. The celebration service for Willie Murray will follow in the chapel at 2pm with Rev. Mickey Castleberry and Dr. Sammie Reid officiating. Internment will be in the cemetery adjoining the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Research Foundation or to your favorite charity or church. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
