William Carl Wainscott, 96, beloved Christian man, was preceded in death by his parents, James D. and Lovie Caldwell Wainscott; his wife of 56 years, Margie Ware Wainscott; second wife, Marian Hastings Wainscott; and three brothers, Joe, Harry, and Jack. He loved his Church, Crosspoint in Trussville. In addition to helping build Crosspoint, he was the oldest member and Deacon Emeritus. He retired from CSX Railroad after 43 years of service. He was also a WWII Navy Veteran. He is survived by his children, Carolyn W. Muglach (Edward), Susan W. Duke (Michael), Daniel Ware Wainscott (Candace); his grandchildren, Laura Erwin Watts (Barry), Scott M. Erwin (Michelle), Michelle Duke Chesson, Clay Duke (Amber), Kerrie Muglach Stroh (James), William Carl Wainscott II, Jill Rossi; Kathleen Riggs; 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 12pm at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville. A visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Crosspoint Baptist Church Mission Fund.
