Morrison, William T. Sr. age 83, of Trussville, AL, passed away May 6, 2012. He was a native of Anniston AL and after graduation from Anniston High School, he joined the Army Air Corps which later became the US Air Force. He served with the Hurricane Hunters 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron at Bermuda's Kindley Air Force Base. Upon leaving the Air Force he became one of the First 1000 employees at Hayes International Aircraft, which later became PEMCO Aeroplex, retiring as Vice President in Charge of Foreign and Commercial Aviation in 1989. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Trussville for 44 years and served on the Library Board, City Council and Safety Commission for the City of Trussville. He was a member of the American Legion, charter member of the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, a member of the Southern Museum of Flight, where he facilitated the donation of a Navy F4 fighter jet for an exhibit. He was a loving husband of 60 years, devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was survived by his wife Louise Morrison, two sons Billy Morrison (Jayne), Russ Morrison (Stephanie), three daughters Cathy Morrison Freeman (Mike), Mary Nobles, and Jane Anderson (Mark), sister Geraldine Blackmon (Joe), grandchildren Kelly Turner (Jason), Pete Morrison, Kyle Lancaster (Shannon), Laurie Lancaster, Breane Morrison, Logan McMichen, Jonathan Freeman, Rose Freeman, Laura Nobles, J.R. Nobles Jr. (Janna), Robert Nobles, Sarah Anderson, great grandchildren Luke, Layne, Judson, and Samuel Turner, along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be from 5pm until 7pm Tuesday and Chapel services will be at 12pm on Wednesday. Burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
