William Richard Mann (W.R; Dub; Dubba) of Trussville passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024, He was born October 30, 1936 and was 87 years old. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist in Tarrant, Alabama. He was a Birmingham firefighter from 1969 until 1989, retired and then became a firefighter for the City of Tarrant for 10 years. He also worked part-time for Lab Corp on his days off from the fire station. He served his country as a firefighter for the Air Force during the Berlin Wall Crisis.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Charldean (Penny) Mann and one sister, Inez Eudy. He is survived by his daughter, Karen Ryan and her husband, Mark of Trussville, AL and his son, Kerry Mann of Pinson, Alabama and his granddaughter, Alyssa Ryan of Pinson, Alabama. He is also survived by his sisters, Juanita Stubbs, Dot Arnold, Shirley Crumpton and one brother, Jamie Mann. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Funeral services will be at Jefferson Memorial, Trussville, Alabama on Wednesday, April 17. Visitation is 10:30-12:00 and funeral at 12:00.
