William "Bill" Madaris, Sr., age 94, of Trussville passed away on March 26, 2017. Bill was a WWII veteran who honorably served in the US Navy. He retired from Nelson-Brantley Contracting where he was employed as a glazier for several years. He was a member of the Georgiana Davis Masonic Lodge #338 in Trussville. Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 28th from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville. His funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29th at Jefferson Memorial's chapel. Burial will immediately follow at the funeral home's adjoining cemetery. Brian Suttles is officiating. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Hollingsworth Madaris, of 58 years; his children, Kathy Madaris Gore (Toby), William "Buck" Madaris, Jr., Brenda Madaris Thompson (Eric) and Sandy Madaris Suttles (Brian); sister, Doris; brother, Joe Madaris; grandchildren, David Oliver, Joey Oliver, William Madaris III, Cory Madaris, Mary-Amber Thompson, Amanda Thompson, Madison Suttles and Cole Suttles; two great grandchildren, D.J. Oliver and Grace Oliver; numerous nieces and nephews.
