William Johnstone

William "Bill" Johnstone, Jr.

age 82, of Hoover, AL passed away Friday, July 5, 2013 at his home. He was a member Green Valley Baptist Church in Hoover, AL. Bill attended college at Auburn University and was a graduate of Howard College-Samford. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Ruth Chism; his sister, Edith Phurrough; grandson, Matthew Wehby. He is survived by his loving wife, Glenda F. Johnstone; two children, Janice Johnstone Warren (Dennis) and Bill Johnstone (Nancy); three step-children, Deborah Sheffield (James), Denise Wehby (Sidney) and Morris "Butch" Harris Jr. (Josie); grandchildren: Scott and Matthew Warren, Anna and David Johnstone, Brad Sheffield, Jennifer Thornton, David Wehby, Katherine Collier, Melanie, Will and Jillian Harris; and one great grandchild, Avery Faye Sheffield. The funeral service will be held at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, July 8, 2013 at 12:00 PM. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Burial will immediately follow at Sunrise Memorial in Pinson, AL. The family would like to give a special thanks to Hospice Services of Alabama for all of the care and support they have shown to Mr. Johnstone and his family.
