William A. (Rusty) Dole II, age 50, went to be with the Lord Monday, March 12, 2012 at St. Vincent's East Hospital surrounded by family after a courageous battle with colon cancer. Rusty was born January 17, 1962 and was a resident of Trussville, Alabama. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Trussville. Rusty graduated from Erwin High School in 1980 and was employed at Siemens Industries. Rusty was a devoted husband and loving father. He is survived by his wife Lisa Ballard Dole of 22 years and two children, Emily Caroline Dole and William (Will) A. Dole III. Rusty is also survived by his parents, W.A. (Dub) Dole and Shirley Elrod Dole of Clay and one sister, Donna Dole Glassco of Franklin, TN. He was loved and will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, family, friends and community. Visitation will be Thursday, March 15th from 11:30 until 1:00 followed by a memorial service at 1:00 at the First United Methodist Church Trussville. Burial will be at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, Trussville. The family would like to express special thanks to the RNs and PCAs of St. Vincent's East North Tower MOU for their care and compassion.
