William Hester

William Samuel (Sambo) Hester, age 87, of Argo. Al. passed away on December 27, 2011. He

was a co-owner of Hester Plumbing Co and was a plumber for 61 years. He was a member of

Central Baptist Church in Argo. He was well-known for his sense of humor and story telling--amusing everyone he met with stories from his time serving in the U. S. Navy or his many years as an active member of the Zamora Shriners. Mr. Hester was preceded in death by his wife, Bettye Prince Hester. He is

survived by his daughters, Kathy Baker, Billie Strawn and Sherry Gilbreath (Stan); son, Randy

Hester (Andrea); grandchildren, Stacey Gregory, Greg Baker, Rickey Strawn, Jessica Hester,

Mike Strawn, Melissa Elders, Matthew Hall and Savannah Hall, and 8 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2011 from 9:00 am - 10:00 am at Jefferson

Memorial Funeral Home. The funeral will begin at 10:00 AM on Saturday. Burial will be

in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
