William Harris

William B. Harris, age 87 of Leeds, AL passed away on March 24, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Henry and Willie Dunn Harris, brother, Joe Harris and sister, Peggy Pilkington. He is survived by his wife, Janice Harris; children, Kathy Harris, Pam Alverson (Jeff), and Marty Harris (Kim); grandchildren, Katie Lucas (Josh), Abi Harris, Dale Herren (Hannah); great grandson, Noah Lucas, John Herren; sisters, Ira Dean Newman (Van) and Martha Lenard. His strong faith in God was evident in his daily living. He loved to honor God through his singing and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Leeds. He was an athlete in his younger years and enjoyed playing basketball. Well into his fifties. He liked telling jokes but would often be unable to reach the punch line because he would be too tickled. He was a patient and honorable man who never complained. He was a great husband and father who was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. There will be a private graveside held for family only.
