William Hammond

William Leon Hammond, 88 of Leeds passed away on September 24, 2009. Mr. Hammond was a veteran of World War II serving his country proudly from the beginning to the end of the war and was a dedicated South Central Bell employee for 37 years. Mr. Hammond is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Helen; their sons, Rick Hammond and Alan Hammond; grandchildren, Drew Hammond (Allison), Brian Hammond (Stephanie), Jennifer Collier (Stephen), Michael Hammond (Sabrena) and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27 from 5:00 i�½" 7:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Private Graveside services for family will be held on Monday, September 28 at 1:00 PM in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East with Steve Murrell officiating.
