William Ellison

William H. Ellison, age 84, of Birmingham, passed away on June 29, 2012. Mr. Ellison served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and retired from the U.S. Air Force after 23 years of service during the Korean War and Vietnam Conflict. He later retired from Foster Machine. Mr. Ellison was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Ellison and Cora Ellison; son, William Gary Ellison; brothers, Leo Ellison, Lewis Ellison and Hubert Ellison; sisters, Flossie Dominick, Ferrell Glenn, Zelda Hawkins, Mildred McColloch and Maxine Ward. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Carolyn Faye Ellison; children, Vicki Fingar (Dale) and Martin Ellison. He is also survived by grandchildren, Justin Fingar (Allison), Courtney Fingar, Aaron Fingar (Misty); as well as great-granddaughter, Lily Kate Fingar. Visitation will be on Monday, July 2 from 12:00PM - 2:00PM with the service following at 2:00PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
