William Chitty

William "Bill" Chitty, Sr., age 80, of Center Point, passed away on November 22, 2014. He served in the US Navy as a Machinist's Mate 1st Class on board the USS English, which led to his career in commercial refrigeration. Mr. Chitty was preceded in death by his parents, George Coleman and Lucille Avis Chitty and his son, William G. Chitty, Jr. He is survived by his children, Ladonna Cushman, Steven G. Chitty (Lisa), Delores Chitty Griffin, Tammy Chitty Crow; his daughter-in-law, Katie Chitty; his brother Harvey Chitty; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Jefferson Memorial Trussville. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Jefferson Memorial Trussville is directing.
