Willard A. Gross Sr., age 94, of Trussville, AL, formerly of Chattanooga, TN, passed away August 25, 2010. He was a member of Ashville Road Church of Christ in Leeds AL. He was associated with Sands and Company, an affiliate of Southern Railway. He was instrumental in establishing a two party Republican System in the State of Alabama, and served as an Electoral Representative to the Republican Party during the Nixon Presidential Campaign. He was a World War II Army veteran. He was a member of the Heritage Foundation in Trussville, AL. Services will be Saturday Aug 28, at 10am in the Chapel with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens Trussville. Drew Kizer officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Elizabeth Riley Gross, devoted father to 4 children, Elizabeth G. Vickery (Jimmy), Charlotte G. Owsley (Johnny), Christina Lynn Gross, Willard Andrew Gross Jr., sister Irene Rusbridge of Chattanooga, grandchildren Kurt Vickery (Gena), Jason Vickery, Lynn Wright (Gary), Johnny L. Owsley Jr. (Lezlie), Emily O. Williams (Justin), great grandchildren Brandi Curren Vickery, Tyler Vickery, Kyle Vickery, Mathew Vickery, Meagan Vickery, Mason Vickery, Nicholas Wright, Jacky Glyien Williams, Maci Woodard.
