Willa Mae Hudson, 84, of Center Point, AL, beloved matriarch of the Hudson family and member of 25th Avenue Baptist Church, went home to be with her Lord and Savior December 29, 2013. She was born October 16, 1929, in Covington, KY. In her spare time, Willa Mae enjoyed embroidery, shopping and going to the Olive Garden. Above all else, she enjoyed hosting and spending time with her loving family.
She is preceded in death by her mother Clifford Faulkner; a brother, Ruben "Sonny" Faulkner; a sister Francis Johnson. Willa leaves behind her husband of 65 years James R. Hudson. Willa and James had just renewed their wedding vows on October 19, 2013.She is also survived by her children Don (Brenda) Hudson, David (Kim) Hudson, Susan (Sam) Duck, Linda (John) McAllister and Dennis Hudson; half-brother Coy Ferguson; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be held at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville, from 10:30 to 11:45 on December 31, 2013. Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Gresh Harbuck officiating. Pallbearers are Wesley Hudson, Richard Payne, Shelby Tucker, Nicholas Harmon, Jacob Hallman, D.J. Hudson and Jonathan Kendrick. Jefferson Memorial East directing.
