Green, Wilber Dinsmore Jr (Buddy)

Buddy Green, age 63, passed away on April 11th in Nashville, Tennessee. He was preceded in his death by his parents Wilber Dinsmore Green and Edith Page Green. Buddy attended Banks High School in Birmingham, Alabama. He worked with financial institutions for years, assisting in the credit area. He was also a disc jockey ("Your Kind of Music") and owned a courier service focusing on the healthcare industry. He retired to Nashville when his wife accepted employment there. Buddy loved all sports. Although he rarely missed watching a Sunday Nascar race, he would always rather be on a golf course. While in Nashville, Buddy volunteered for the Red Cross and the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Willis-Green; his aunt, Beverly McKoy; his cousins, Ann Chapman, Jane Connell, David McKoy, Courtney McKoy and their families. Buddy was fortunate to have many good friends but would want to especially recognize Pete Tyler and his family and Jerry Thompson and his family. His life was made even more complete by companionship given by Katie and Pepper, the killer dachshunds. A visitation will be held on Wednesday April 14th at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 1591 Gadsden Highway, Birmingham, Alabama, 35235 at 10:30 a.m. with a graveside service following immediately thereafter. The family requests donations be made to Alive Hospice, 1718 Patterson St.,| Nashville, TN 37203 in lieu of flowers.
