Wanda Felkins

FELKINS, WANDA HEADLEY age 75, of Pinson, passed away at her home on August 25, 2019 due to a massive stroke. She was preceded in death by her parents. Alma Parker Cruce Headley, Levi Headley, Steve Cruce; her husband, Perry G. Felkins; and sister, Sharon Headley Duke. Growing up, Wanda attended Pinson Valley Elementary and Junior High and then Hewitt-Trussville High School.  She then focused on being a wife and mother and raising a family. While her children were in college, she became a licensed Realtor and enjoyed that profession for 20 years until choosing to retire.  She was a member of Palmerdale United Methodist Church. Wanda's greatest joy was her family and friends.  She was married to the love of her life for 42 years until he passed in 2003. The greatest comfort for the family at this time is that they are reunited, healthy, and happy in heaven. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to all who knew her.  Wanda spread joy with her beautiful smile and never met a stranger. She is survived by: daughters, Connie Felkins-Hill, Stephanie Felkins-Wingard, Jennifer Davenport Felkins; sons, Paul Felkins, Brett Wingard, Toby Hill, all of Pinson; precious grandchildren, Colby Wingard, Payton Felkins, Austin Felkins, John Hill, and Tara Hill; and great grandson, Cooper Hill. Also survived by, all of the members of the First & Goal Family, and many other extended family and friends that will miss her dearly. Until we all meet again in the presence of the Lord. Services will be held Thursday, August 29th at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville and will be officiated by Pastor Dallas Culver.  Family visitation is 12 - 1 PM. Open visitation is 1 - 2 PM. Funeral will begin at 2 PM. The graveside service will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Pinson.
